July 20, 2019
CRU Centre, Level 3, 18 Verdun Road, Singapore 207280
We can read the Bible devotionally or meditatively; we can study it academically or for application; and we can even pray-read the Bible.
However, the Word – inerrant, infallible, and immutable – is truth conceived and wrapped in beauty.
The language of Scripture is designed for those whom God created in His image to know and love Him.
Man’s literary endeavour to “find out” and ponder God’s eternal inheritance, of which much is owed to the written and publishing tradition of the Church, plays an appreciable part in the disciple’s pursuit and application of God’s beauty, truth and wisdom.
This seminar is recommended for all involved in reading or spiritual formation ministries, such as church libraries and christian education, and all disciples of Christ who are keen to know how reading can enhance their Christian walk.
The speakers will be: Dr Fong Choon Sam, Dean of Academic Studies, Baptist Theological Seminary; Rev Dr Tan Soo-Inn, Chairman of Graceworks.
Date: Saturday, July 20, 2019, 10am-12pm
