FRESH EYES ON CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – THE NEXTGEN ONLINE CONVERSATION

Covid-19 has changed the way we do church and we need to re-think how we do the Children’s Ministry and disciple the next generation as well.

Calling all church leaders, volunteers, teachers, parents, or anyone who is interested in Children’s Ministry: Join our panellists for this online conversation to hear insights and experiences about supporting the Children’s Ministry in this new normal.

Dr Calvin Chong
An Associate Professor of Practical Theology at the Singapore Bible College, Dr Chong is currently teaching and researching areas related to diaspora missions as well as designing learning experiences for the educational ministries of the church.

Elvin and Esther Foong
The Foongs are the founders of The Treasure Box SG, a products and services company that equips and supports Christian families to discover God together through worship, prayer and studying His Word. They presently serve as full-time itinerant family and kids’ ministers.

Christina Ong
Mrs Ong has been involved in children ministry for over 20 years, and is currently the chairperson of the Methodist TRAC Board of Children Ministry and Advisor to Bedok Methodist Church Children Ministry.

David Leong 
Leong will be the moderator. He is a local preacher of Grace Methodist Church and has a Master of Christian Studies (MCS) degree from Regent College, Vancouver, Canada. Since July 2013, David has been commissioned by his church as a freelance itinerant Children & Families Educator.

Learn about useful online platforms, and tools and resources to support the educational ministries of the church and at home. Participants will be equipped with best practices for home discipleship in a world that has been re-designed by the virus.

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Evangelical Alliance of Singapore, The Bible Society of Singapore has organised this Zoom workshop. The Bible Society has been serving and resourcing the Christian community in Singapore for over 190 years. Their mission is to make God’s Word known to all people by making it available through the work of translation and publishing, accessible through distribution and literacy programmes, and credible through engagement and advocacy. They also aim to continue engaging and equipping churches and individuals to minister to their communities.
