HARMONY HEARTS CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Join the Harmony Hearts Children’s Choir, the Methodist School of Music’s first inclusive choir for children with special needs. This is a unique musical community for every child.

This audition-based choir aims to bring together children of all abilities, creating a harmonious environment where everyone can experience the joy of music.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of an inclusive musical journey where every child’s voice is heard and celebrated.

Why join

The Harmony Hearts Children’s Choir is more than just a musical group. It is a supportive community where children and their caregivers can thrive together. Here is what is offered:

  • Music and joy for all – celebrate the universal love of singing, embracing children from all backgrounds and abilities.
  • A welcoming space – make new friends and share experiences without fear of stigma or judgment. We foster a culture of understanding, acceptance and support.
  • Respect and understanding – learn inclusive and respectful language such as “neurodivergent” instead of “autistic,” and “different support needs” instead of “high vs low functioning”
  • Safe exploration – encourage curiosity and questions in a supportive and safe environment
  • Performance opportunities – the choir will have the chance to perform in annual concerts and at other public venues, showcasing their talents and achievements
