St Lukes Hospital concert Voices of Light

VOICES OF LIGHT

COVID-19 has affected St Luke’s Hospital in many ways. Several fundraising events were cancelled but the needs of patients still need to be met. Hence this virtual charity concert – their biggest fundraiser of the year.

It is is about the patient journey from darkness — caused by illness — to light, as they receive loving care and go home to their families.

Performers include singer-songwriter Crystal Goh, who was diagnosed with a voice condition spasmodic dysphonia in 2011, as well as soprano-soloist Lauren Yeo.

There will also be a violin performance by Yap Shu Mei, program director of the Singapore International String Conference, and formerly a member of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. And a group dance in hospital gym, choreographed by jazz dance specialist, Sinclair Ang.

The Music Director for the event is Eric James Watson, who won the Cultural Medallion in 2019. The composer and conductor also wrote and arranged orchestral music for the National Day Parade in 2001 and 2007.

Date: Friday, November 6, 2020

Time: 8.30pm-9.15pm

Cost: One complimentary admission for every $500 donation. Concert login details will be sent separately to eligible donors.
