“Grief introduced itself into our lives very abruptly. And even now, grief still catches me by surprise. The worst feeling is when it sneaks up on me and leaves me exhausted, when it just feels so heavy. When I think of the fact that Dad is not around.

“It was almost like if I allow myself the permission to feel joy, I’ll forget him.

“But when I allow God to take my grief, He can turn it into something so much more.”
