Bible reading for Day 15 | 2 Thessalonians 3:3-5
3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
God wants the entire nation of Singapore to know Him. That is almost six million people! That is a big job! How can we do this? By praying and sharing God’s Word in the Bible.
When God’s people pray, God turns the hearts of people towards Him, just like a magnet turns the compass to the north. By sharing God’s Word, our fellow Singaporeans will know Him.
It may be difficult and we may think that this is too much for us to do. But we can trust God as we do our best because of two things:
God is faithful
That means He will do what He says. God always keeps His promises. And He has promised that He will be with us and give us the strength to keep praying for Singapore and sharing His love.
God loves you
Because Jesus loves you, He takes care of you. You just have to keep talking to Him in prayer and telling Him about what is in your heart.
Discuss
1. How can we be partners with God to turn the whole nation of Singapore towards Him?
2. How can you remain strong even when things around you may look bad?
Pray
1. Pray that God will show you His love for you and His love for Singapore.
2. Pray that God will protect you and give you courage so that you can be a faithful partner with Him in turning our country towards Him.
