Bible reading for Day 18 | Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Learn
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a story. It is the Good News that God saves people and changes their lives!
The Gospel brings the truth that Jesus died for our sins so that we can be forgiven and are given the chance to live a new life. It can move us from being lost and lonely to being joyful, helpful and loving.
Many people are sad and have nothing to look forward to. Give them the gift of the Gospel through your words and your actions – be their friend, encourage them and tell them the Good News that Jesus died for them so that they can look forward to a new life. Then they will experience the hope, love and life that Jesus wants them to have.
Don’t be ashamed of this special gift from God. Share it with everyone!
Discuss
1. Do you believe the Good News can change lives? How has your life changed since you believed in Jesus?
2. Can you think of one person in your life that you can share the Gospel with? Ask God to give you the words to say.
Pray
1. Pray that young people your age will want to know Jesus more and more.
2. Pray that Christians in Singapore will know how to show the love of Christ, so that more people will want to go to church and worship God.
3. Ask God to help you understand the words of the Bible, so that you will grow in your love for God and for people.
