We all need someone to believe in us and cheer for us. Some people try to collect friends on social media, or win people through presents, or boast about what they have or the holidays they take. It’s their way of feeling important.

But God says: I don’t need you to do all that. I love and accept you just as you are.

You don’t have to pass a good-looking or clever test before He calls you His child. He sees your heart and accepts you for you. When you put your trust in Jesus, you can depend on Him to love you and care about your life.

Remember that:

You are Jesus’ child

You don’t need many friends, good grades, sports medals or TikTok followers to be special. Jesus – our Heavenly King – calls you His child! And that is enough.

You just need to believe

You can trust that Jesus came to save you and He will walk with you throughout your life, both during the good times and the not-so-good times. You can depend on Him to listen to you, help you and take care of you.

1. What does the Bible say it means to be a child of God?

2. Do you know what talents and gifts God has given you? How are you going to use them?

Pray

1. Pray that Jesus will speak to your heart so that you believe how special you are to be Jesus’ child. 

2. Pray that God will show you how to use your talents and gifts to help others know Jesus better.
