Bible reading for Day 31 | Isaiah 65:1-2
1 I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, “Here am I, here am I.”
2 All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people,
Who walk in ways not good,
Pursuing their own imaginations.
In Isaiah 65, God shows us His great love for all the people He has made. He shows Himself to them even though they may not look for Him.
How does God show Himself to people? One way is through us! You can:
Be a letter from Christ
In 2 Corinthians 3:3, Paul reminds us that we are all “letters from Christ”.
This means that, as God’s children, we are the ones who will show our friends, classmates, neighbours and family what God is really like!
Show His love
When we know God and experience His deep love and care for us daily, we can then show that same love and care for the people He has put in our lives.
Discuss
1. In what ways can your life be a “letter from Christ”?
2. What character or attribute of God does your life reflect to others?
Pray
1. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help you and your family know and love God more every day.
2. Ask God to show you one person to whom you can show His love and care this week.
