DAY 38 - KIDS DEVO (ARTICLE)

Read

Bible reading for Day 38 |Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Jesus promised his followers He would come back. But when? Only after the Gospel of salvation has been told to all people in all nations. This is called the Great Commission.

We know this is true because the book of Revelation tells us that “every nation, tribe, people and language” will join in the heavenly worship. God does not want anybody anywhere to miss out. That is the best way to bless the nations. That is why there are missionaries – people God sends to foreign lands to share this good news.

How do we help fulfil the Great Commission? We must:

Pray and believe

We know Jesus Christ has defeated Satan at the cross. So we know that His mission is unstoppable. Pray for all people to know and follow Him. God hears you.

Work together

Alone, we can do little but when many people and different groups join efforts and talents, what we can achieve is much more powerful!

Share what you have

Is your church sending out missionaries to share the Gospel? How can you help? Your family can volunteer or donate toys, clothes and money to help the people that the missionaries will meet.

Discuss

1. What do you understand about the Great Commission? Do you feel that children are also called to participate in the Great Commission?

2. What has God given you in your life that can be used towards the Great Commission?

Pray

1. Pray that God will help you understand and be passionate about the Great Commission.

2. Ask God to show you how you can partner with other people to carry out the Great Commission.
