Bible reading for Day 6 | Ezekiel 47:9-12
“Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live … Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”

Ezekiel 47 in the Bible talks about God’s Word being like a powerful river flowing out from the Temple of God. This river blesses many people and makes the whole world healthy and full.
There are three things about the river that show this is from God:
1. It started as a small stream from the ground.
2. It was a trickle that became a powerful current.
3. It started small but grew into a river that gave life.
Although the river started small, it became unstoppable and powerful with God! This is a picture of the Gospel too. The Gospel shared with a small group of people can eventually spread to the world and become unstoppable. This is because it comes from our powerful God.
Many who hear the Gospel will believe, turn to obey God, and their lives will never be the same.
Let us pray that Singapore will become a river of blessing as the Gospel goes out to many countries.
Discuss
1. Is there something that God wants you to start doing today to bless others? Remember – nothing is too small!
2. How can you bring happiness and health to people by sharing the Gospel?
Pray
1. Thank God for starting and growing the churches in Singapore.
2. Pray to be brave enough to start small and not be afraid to fail. God does not look down on small beginnings.
3. Ask God to take your small beginning and make it grow by His power.
