DAY 23 - KIDS DEVO (ARTICLE)

Read

Bible reading for Day 23 |Psalm 71:17-18

17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me,

and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.

18 Even when I am old and gray,

do not forsake me, my God,

till I declare your power to the next generation,

your mighty acts to all who are to come.

From today’s reading, we know that the one who wrote this Psalm started learning about God when he was still young and has been talking about the many wonderful things God has done.

Even as children, we can do the same – know the Lord and tell the world about God’s goodness. This means that we need to:

Share more about Jesus

Let’s ask Jesus for joy when we share God’s power and goodness with others. Then we will want to share about Jesus more and more!

Pray for more children to know Jesus

We want to see not only our own family and friends saved by Christ, but also the many children in Singapore and the world.

Think about how we can share Jesus

No matter how old or young we are, each of us can bring others to Christ because this is what God wants.

Discuss

1. Are you like the Psalmist in today’s Bible verse, wanting others to know of Christ’s love? Why or why not?

2. As a child, how can you share about Jesus?

Pray

1. Pray for God to give you a heart that wants to know Him more – one that loves Him so much that you always want to share His goodness with those around you.

2. Pray for God to show you how you to bring someone to Christ. Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to give you the right words to say at the right time to the right person.
