Bible reading for Day 32 | Isaiah 43:19
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
God tells us in Isaiah 43 to watch for the new thing that He is doing.
Here is an example of what that looks like:
Twenty years ago, God called the Church in Singapore to send missionaries to a country in Southeast Asia called Timor Leste. God wanted these missionaries to bring the Good News of Jesus to the people living there.
And God did a new thing in this nation – many in Timor Leste heard the Gospel for the first time and believed in Jesus! Today, there are churches in every district in Timor Leste and new missionaries are still being sent there to bring God’s love to His people.
Discuss
1. Who is a missionary and what does a missionary do?
2. What is one new thing that you have seen God do in your family, your church, your school or in Singapore?
Pray
1. Pray that God will continue to send more missionaries to Timor Leste so that more can hear about Jesus.
2. Pray for the church in Timor Leste, that it will grow and have good leaders.
