Jesus came to the world to serve and love people. He taught His followers that the best kind of leaders are those who are humble and work for the good of others.
He was so gentle that he was willing to give up his life to pay for our sins so that people could join God in heaven through Him.
Jesus was so selfless that even as He was dying on the cross, He forgave his enemies who hung Him. He also made sure His mother would be taken care of, and He promised the thief next to Him that he would be in heaven.
The humble heart of Jesus wants to reach out to those who are forgotten and suffering.
He wants to work with us to show His kindness and love to people of all countries.
Do you know people who are in pain and who need God’s love and kindness? Do not forget them. Spend some time showing care for them today.
Discuss
1. Can you remember a time when you felt God’s love for you when you felt sad or discouraged? Share this with someone!
2. Think of someone you can be kind to. What are some ways you can do so?
Pray
1. Pray that God will give you Jesus’ gentle eyes to see others, especially those who are different from you.
2. Ask God to show you who needs a kind word or a kind act today. It could be your mother or father who are having a bad day. Or a schoolmate who is bullied. Or your domestic helper aunty who is missing her home.
