About the organiser:
Sound of Art is a family of collectors passionate about art that speaks to the soul. The family project was kickstarted by a chance encounter with chairman Georgie Lee and his art teacher Steve Teo from St Andrew’s School in the early 60s.
The Chapel of the Holy Spirit began in 1979 with a small group of inter-denominational Christians made up of Anglicans, Baptists, Presbyterians and Methodists under the pastoral leadership of Canon James Wong, Vicar of the Chapel of the Resurrection (COR).
A year later, the group grew and Whampoa Christian Centre (WCC) was launched with a service inaugurated by Dr Augustine Tan, an Economics professor from the National University of Singapore. The Centre was run as an extension of COR.
In 1986, it was renamed Chapel of the Holy Spirit (CHS).
