WALK OF A LIFETIME

Walk of a Lifetime is St Andrew’s Autism Centre’s (SAAC) annual autism advocacy event. It invites the community to deepen their understanding of autism and learn about the diverse experiences of persons on the spectrum and their families.

The aim of the event is to break down misconceptions, build empathy and champion a more inclusive society.

Highlights of the event

  • Promoting Awareness: Autism awareness booths will provide opportunities for participants to learn more about autism, the challenges faced by individuals on the spectrum and their families, and the work that SAAC does.
  • Fostering Inclusion: Participants can walk alongside persons with autism, encouraging direct engagement, understanding and solidarity.
  • Fundraising for a Cause: All proceeds from the event will support SAAC’s programmes and services, including their special education school, day activity centres and residential home.
  • Community Engagement: The event brings together families, friends, volunteers and members of the public in support of a shared cause.
