Bible reading for Day 1 | Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
God loves Singapore and has a purpose for Singapore. To fulfil that purpose, He has given us three important things to pay attention to:
Turn Singapore to God
Jesus came to find and save those who do not know Him. So live a life that shows your family, neighbours, classmates, friends and teachers how good and how powerful God is.
Tell them about Jesus. Tell them who He is, how He died for us and how He saves us. Then they will know Him and come to Him.
Win the Hearts of the Young
God cares about the old and the young. But God wants us to pay special attention to students such as you and your schoolmates.
You are in the perfect place to show the love and power of Jesus.
Bless the Nations
Singapore is a blessed country. We have a good government, safety and a good education system.
God wants Singapore to use what we have to bless other countries.
You are not too young. Everyone can do something! You can pray for the nations. You can go on short-term trips with your parents. You can donate money, clothes and toys to those who cannot afford to buy them.
Discuss
1. Ask God to show you the people in your life that you can pray for to know Jesus.
2. Do you know of anyone who comes from another country? Think about how you can bless this person and his/her country. Is there a country you especially love? Maybe God has given that country to your heart to bless!
Pray
1. Pray for family members, relatives, neighbours and friends who do not know Jesus. Ask God to bring people to their lives to share the Gospel. It may be you!
2. Pray for open hearts and ears to hear Jesus over the next 40 days.
