DAY 40 - KIDS DEVO (ARTICLE)

Read

Bible reading for Day 40 | Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

God loves Singapore and has a plan for our country and the whole world to know Him. Everyone has a part to play, not just your pastors, parents or teachers. He wants you to join Him too!

Keep in your heart the three things God has called all of us Christians in Singapore to do. And yes! That includes you.

Turn Singapore towards God

People need Jesus. He is the only hope that never fails. Tell them about Jesus. Spread God’s love and show His power to people in your life – your schoolmates, your neighbours, family and friends – so that they can see Jesus through you. Use words that encourage and do things that are helpful and kind.

Win the youths

Pray for your friends and schoolmates, invite them to your church, share the Gospel with them. You are in exactly the right place at the right time to be part of the Great Commission!

Bless the nations

Pray for the countries around Singapore and the foreigners in Singapore. Go on mission trips with your parents or your church. Go outside Singapore to bless people who don’t know God yet.

Today is National Day, the day we celebrate 58 years of independence. Today is the perfect day to thank God for His blessings on Singapore and to ask Him for greater things for our nation.

Discuss

1. What has God shown you during these 40 days of prayers? How has your heart changed for the people in your life?

2. What is one thing you have started doing because of these 40 days of prayers? How will you continue to do it?

Pray

1. Pray that Singapore will turn to God. Ask God to help you share the Gospel by telling your friends and family about Jesus. Ask Him to help you live a life that makes people want to know Him.

2. Pray that youths in Singapore will love and follow Jesus. Ask God to give you chances to invite your friends, cousins and neighbours to activities in church. Pray for salvation for your friends!

3. Pray for other nations – for peace and for good governments. Pray that God will show you how you can bless other nations.
