Bible House
Being woke is on the rise. Since the late 20th century, key movements in the West such as Black Lives Matter, #metoo and climate activism have drawn attention to forms of racism, sexism, and other forms of injustice.
The United Nations reports that young people today are more civically engaged in social and political causes than before. At the same time, Wokeism has taken on an aggressive tone leading to the calling out and cancelling of others under the mask of diversity and inclusivity.
Join Dr Suzanne Choo in this lecture as she outlines the roots of this movement and explores a Christian response that seeks to “out-narrate” Wokeism through an examination of the interconnections between truth, justice and love in the Bible.
