KEEPING WORSHIP SACRED & RELEVANT

MSM Worship Essentials invites you to this special lecture by Dr Lim Swee Hong.

How does culture shape the way we worship? How can we honour tradition while embracing change?

In an ever-changing world, the landscape of worship is continually shaped by cultural currents, societal shifts and evolving contexts. This course delves into the interplay between worship and culture, equipping participants to navigate these changes while staying faithful to the sacred essence of worship.

This interactive lecture explores how cultural contexts influence worship, using real-world examples, theological insights and practical strategies. Designed for pastors, theological students and seminary faculty, this lecture is also open to all.

What you will gain

  • A deeper understanding of how culture shapes worship practices, music, and language
  • Insights on balancing tradition and innovation in worship
  • Practical strategies for leading worship that is both culturally sensitive and theologically grounded
