METHODIST SCHOOL OF MUSIC CHILDREN’S CHOIR CAMP

Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to keep your child engaged during the school holidays? Join this two-day choir camp for children aged seven to 12, led by Dr Michael Burkhardt.

What the children will learn

  • Enhance their vocal skills in a fun way
  • Appreciate the story behind each song
  • Express themselves confidently through music
  • Enjoy singing together as a group
  • Be a part of “Let Heaven and Nature Sing”, an evening of music and celebration with the Methodist Festival Choir and Orchestra at Wesley Methodist Church on December 11

About the Instructor

Dr Michael Burkhardt is a distinguished organist, choral clinician and hymn festival leader, celebrated for his creative and inspiring work. He is Artist-Professor of Organ at Eastern Michigan University and Founder-Artistic Director of the hearts, hands and voices of the Worship and Fine Arts Programme for Children. A sought-after performer and educator, he has led tours in South Korea and Singapore, sharing his expertise in church music worldwide.

Fees: $200 per child (incl. GST). The first 60 sign-ups will enjoy a 50% subsidy.

About the Organiser:
The Methodist School of Music is a member of the Methodist Schools network. MSM was founded in 1997 as an agency of the Methodist Church in Singapore and is registered with the Ministry of Education.

Its three-fold thrust is to:

  • Nurture individuals regardless of race or religion, towards musical excellence.
  • Contribute towards the development of music in Singapore and the region.
