SACS WELLNESS WORKSHOPS: PRIORITISE MENTAL HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE

How has 2024 been for you? Is it a yay or meh? Pause here to answer that question before you read on. No cheating.

For some of you, it might have been positive and uplifting. For others, it might have been a year you are desperate to forget. You might have experienced difficult colleagues, work situations and even considered a change in your career.

Come for this series of workshops to help you prioritise your mental health in the workplace.

October 10, 2024

Boosting Your Self-esteem (9.30am-11am)

  • If you have ever felt chills run down your back as your boss berates you, it might be time to regain that sense of self-esteem through this workshop
  • Grow your confidence so you can fully unlock the limits of your potential
  • Learn quick ways to rebuild your self-esteem, after receiving constructive feedback from others

Managing Difficult Emotions (11.30am-1pm)

  • You might have had tough emotions that cause you sleepless nights. This might be where you can learn how to deal with them.
  • Recognise and identify your own signals or symptoms when faced with difficult emotions
  • Identify at least one way to manage difficult emotions effectively

Positive Thinking (2.30pm-4pm)

  • If you are looking to move even further in your career, you might need positive thinking to affirm you and bring you to greater heights
  • Understand how your thoughts have a bearing on your actions
  • Identify your negative thinking styles and how to overcome them

October 17, 2024

Working with Difficult People (9.30am-11am)

  • Come and be empowered with strategies to navigate your emotions when working with difficult people
  • Identify the characteristics of difficult behaviours and how to manage your emotions when experiencing difficult people 
  • Demonstrate strategies in working with difficult people

Anger Management (11.30am-1pm)

  • Consider alternative responses to anger
  • Learn or implement wellness tools that may be more effective in dealing with anger and that can be intentionally practiced

Stress Management (2.30pm-4pm)

  • Demonstrate understanding of stress and identify your own stressors
  • Identify your own signs and symptoms when feeling stressed and apply strategies to cope better
