"It is primarily and mainly for the sake of saving the soul that I seek the salvation of the body," said Salvation Army founder William Booth. Photo by Rachel Phua.
This year’s Christmas Kettling theme This Little Light invites everyone to become that spark of hope by living out compassion and being part of an impactful tribe of donors and volunteers amidst this turbulent time in the world.
Each gift given and each kettle rung brings vital support to our community’s most vulnerable – elderly individuals, at-risk children and youths, migrant workers, ex-offenders and their families.
Every contribution helps to keep essential social and community programmes shining brightly across the social centres and corps. This season, come together to make a difference, one light at a time, by bringing warmth, support, and new beginnings to those who need it most.
Christmas Kettling by The Salvation Army is a cherished holiday tradition that began back in 1891 in the USA – 133 years ago, where volunteers stand by donation kettles and ring bells to spread the festive cheer whilst encouraging passers-by to give generously.
