About the organiser:
The event is organised by The Saturday Movement in partnership with The Peranakan Festival Singapore.

The Saturday Movement started as a volunteer group in Lengkok Bahru and has since grown into a non-profit charity organisation with over 100 volunteers.

Its mission is to assist the disadvantaged elderly and poor in low-income areas through the simple act of providing a meal or dry rations, as well as a listening ear. These beneficiaries have been left behind in the wake of economic growth and urbanisation, and are unable to cope financially, mentally or emotionally.

TSM’s vision is to foster a kind, caring and inclusive world where nobody gets left behind.

The Peranakan Festival Singapore speaks openly on the togetherness of coming as one to promote the diversity of the Peranakans and yet inclusivity of all cultures and heritage that constitute the peranakans today.
