THE SATURDAY MOVEMENT’S CHARITY GALA DINNER

Come for a night of makan, minum and joget (food, drinks and dance).

The Saturday Movement is organising a fundraiser to support its growing ministry of unconditional love towards the elderly living in rental flats. More than 10 Peranakan chefs from the region will be serving up their best interpretation of Peranakan favourites, all for a good course.

The funds raised will go to providing good quality food at S17 Community Kitchen, weekly lunch buffets, daily coffee breaks and weekly door-to-door visits with bread and fresh fruit for the beneficiaries.

About the Organiser:
The Saturday Movement started as a volunteer group in Lengkok Bahru 11 years ago and has since grown into a non-profit charity organisation with over 100 volunteers.

Its mission is to assist the disadvantaged elderly and poor in low-income areas through the simple act of providing a meal or dry rations, as well as a listening ear. These beneficiaries have been left behind in the wake of economic growth and urbanisation and are unable to cope financially, mentally or emotionally.

TSM’s vision is to foster a kind, caring and inclusive world where nobody gets left behind.
