YOUTH FOR CHANGE CONFERENCE 2024: THE UNEQUAL PLATE

The world produces enough food to feed 1.5 times the global population. So why are people still hungry?

Come for YFCC 2024 and explore the causes and consequences of global hunger in an age of abundance. Learn how to start your own cause-driven projects, contribute to a food sustainable world, and embark on virtual visits to World Vision’s innovative development projects in Timor Leste and discover how we transform the lives of children and families in the most vulnerable of places.

Let the stories shared by our guest speaker, humanitarian field staff, and youth changemakers inspire you to work towards a hunger-free world.

This year’s edition, which will be held as a fully in-person, is a day-long event which aims to educate young people about innovative humanitarian development responses to the global hunger crisis with reference to examples from World Vision’s interventions and success stories.

There will also be a number of workshops centred around social good and sustainability. Participants will be able to choose the workshop they are most interested in to allow for a more customised learning experience.

Speakers

The speakers include World Vision colleagues based in Kenya, Timor Leste and Vietnam, who have kindly offered their time to share their experiences of working on the ground to implement innovative and sustainable livelihood and community development projects for the well-being of vulnerable children and their families.

There will also be hosting a human library where youths from World Vision offices across the region, as well as local ground-up initiatives, will presents their projects at the conference, allowing our participants the opportunity to interact and network with a like-minded cause-driven youth community.
