“I think I spent in the prison more than 20 years. Eleven times in and out, in and out, until my family gave up,” says Kumarakuru s/o Arunasalam, or Kumar to his friends.
“This fellow really cannot change,” Kumar recounts his family saying.
It came to a point where Kumar’s mother moved away and did not leave a forwarding address.
“I felt really hurt. I cried to myself, ‘How come this happened to me like that?’ But I never blamed them. I blame myself,” Kumar tells Salt&Light.
It took someone who had been in his shoes to, not only share the love of Christ with Kumar, but spend three years tracking down Kumar’s family so they could be reconciled.
