This year's unique Day of His Power celebrations being recorded for viewers to tune in from their homes on August 7, 7.30pm.
Day of His Power 2020 goes online this year, in an unprecedented move by the LoveSingapore network of churches to keep the flag flying for the annual celebration.
This year’s Day of His Power takes place from 7.30-9pm on August 7.
Viewers can subscribe to LoveSingapore on youtube or follow them on Facebook to be alerted when the celebration goes live.
Speakers will include Edmund Chan, Rennis Ponniah, Lawrence Khong, Jason Wong, Jeff Chong, Jeremy Seaward, Lawrence Chua, Ian Toh and Raphael Zhang.
In three segments: State of the Church, State of the Family, and Loving Singapore Block by Block, the speakers will be asking such searching questions as:
- What has Covid-19 shown us about the State of the Church?
- How strong is the State of the Family in Singapore?
- Has the Great Commission been forgotten in this season?
In past years, the annual National Day event has gathered thousands in a single venue to intercede for Singapore.
While circumstances brought about by the pandemic dictate that the celebration goes online this year, event organisers say this unique event is an opportunity to take prayer into homes and neighbourhoods.
“Some are consumed by the pandemic. Some are crippled by panic. We choose to focus on the Power of our sovereign God, even in these unsettling and unprecedented times.”
