In response to these “extraordinary times”, an unprecedented home-based LoveSingapore Day of Prayer will be held on Good Friday, April 10, uniting churches across Singapore fervently seeking “God for divine mercy and intervention”.

“I sense that, despite the many things we all have to deal with in response to the new restrictions, we should not miss this very critical moment to unite in prayer,” said Chairman of Love Singapore, Pastor Lawrence Khong, as he rallied churches today to join in the upcoming LoveSingapore Day of Prayer.

“My prayer is that as God shakes the earth and the heavens, what remains will be a purified Church, battle-fit for the End time harvest.”

“Our confidence is in the Sovereign Lord who is all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful, all-wise, all-loving, all-merciful. He is Ruler over everything. He is in total control,” said Pastor Khong.

The LoveSingapore Day of Prayer, to be held from 10am to 10pm on Good Friday, April 10, will be “a day of humbling for healing” according to 2 Chronicles 7:13-15.

In a spirit of unity and purpose, both the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) and Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore (EFOS) are in full support of this urgent prayer call.

“Together, we are inviting as many churches as possible to come on board – even at such a short notice. Extraordinary times need extraordinary leadership and extraordinary response!” said Pastor Khong.

Prayer from 10am to 10pm on Good Friday

The Good Friday LoveSingapore Day of Prayer will involve the following:

On Good Friday, each participating church will take an hour of prayer within the 12-hour window (from 10am to 10pm) and organise their prayer hour in a way that best suits their context for maximum participation.

For format and flow, LoveSingapore encourages all participating churches to keep things simple.

For prayer agreement, LoveSingapore will send a simple guide to all participating churches by Wed 8 April.

“See that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused Him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject Him who warns from heaven.” (Hebrews 12:25)

“My prayer is that as God shakes the earth and the heavens, what remains will be a purified Church, battle-fit for the End time harvest,” said Pastor Khong.

“More than just an end to the pandemic, we must pray for God’s Name to be exalted in all the earth: For lives saved, for churches revived, for nations transformed, for the world evangelised. Together, let’s believe God for this. To God be the glory!”
