A 40-day prayer series dubbed “2020 Peace China” has been one of the many messages being exchanged over the 2019-nCoV outbreak.
While its source is unknown, the series seems to be a collection of prayers written from Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak, describing a stark picture of turmoil and helplessness.
Yet, in the first 13 prayers seen by Salt&Light, the author expresses not just repentance and desperation at the situation, but also trust and assurance in God.
In our personal quiet time, cell groups or churches, as we pray alongside our brothers and sisters in China, let us stay focused on our God who saves and remember to have compassionate hearts for those who are suffering.
